The Long Hunter State Park is a state park in Hermitage, Tennessee. It is located just a few minutes outside of Nashville.
Sitting mostly along the shores of the artificial lake created by the Stones River impoundment known as the Percy Priest Lake, the Long Hunter State Park offers a good amount of outdoor activities to the public. It offers fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, and hiking opportunities to its visitors. Folks can also tour the Sellars Farm, an archaeological and historical site, also known as the Sellars Mound. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a satellite of the park.
The Long Hunter State Park is also home to several annual events like the Fall Festival, NAIA Pow-Wow, and the Long Hunter Mega-Hike.
