Witness the sights and sounds of Tennessee festivities at the Mid-South Fair held from last week of September to early October at the fairgrounds in Memphis, Tennessee. The fair traces its roots to the Shelby County Agricultural Society expo held in the fall of 1856. The fair draws hundreds of thousands of people from within the city. The fair is not only popular among people in the Memphis area, also in adjacent cities in Tennessee, as well as neighboring states of Mississippi and Arkansas. The museum aims to create a “cultural and entertainment experience” to expose the people to events and things “they might not encounter”.

During the fair, people can partake in several activities, events, shows, attractions, rides, and foods. There are also concerts, homemade ice cream contests, the Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show, pig race, and the world’s biggest youth talent contest.
