The Pinson Mounds State Park is a state park and historic site in Pinson, Tennessee. It features, protects, and preserves the Pinson Mounds, a National Historic Landmark and National Register of Historic Places site.

Basically, the Pinson Mounds is a prehistoric Native American complex composed of 17 mounds. It is believed to have been built around the Middle Woodland period, which took place from 1-500 AD. It is known as the largest group of mounds from that period in the country.

Also known as the Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park, the Pinson Mounds State Park offers camping, picnicking, and hiking trails at the site. There’s also a park museum showcasing information about the mounds. There are also a good number of special events regularly held at the site.
