The South Cumberland State Park is a state park and recreation area in Monteagle, Tennessee. It is one of the newer units of the Tennessee state parks system.

What sets South Cumberland State Park apart from other state parks in the country is that it is composed of different areas in four counties. Almost all are located on top of the Cumberland Plateau; although, they?re quite separate in nature. The Visitors? Center is located in Monteagle and here?s where you can get information about the other park areas namely the Savage Gulf Natural Area, Grundy Forest Natural Area, Stone Door, and the Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Carter Natural Area.

Noted for being a popular park for backpackers, rock climbers, and hikers, the South Cumberland State Park also offers opportunities for camping and picnicking.
