Formerly known as Aquarena Springs, Texas State University bought the theme park in 1994 and changed the focus from entertainment to preservation and education.

Highlighting the rich development of local history, the 90 acre acquisition, has allowed the local University to open many programs and extend their involvement in the community.

Formerly home of Ralph the swimming pig, the first submarine underwater theater opened in 1951, with Ralph's first show being in 1969.

Still offering Glass Bottom Boat rides, the University in conjunction with A.B. Rogers are working to ensure the boats will remain in service for years to come.
