Don Harrington Discovery Center is a science center which aims to make science more exciting and resourceful by providing interactive programs and exhibits that participates children and adults. Located in 1200 Streit Drive, Amarillo, Texas, Don Harrington Discovery Center allow visitors to explore, play and tinker their way on more than 55 hands-on exhibits, a 360-degrees planetarium, a 3,000-gallon aquarium and a botanical garden.

The museum?s exhibit galleries provide visitors opportunity to learn the adventures of science like, sound, structures, weather, space, puzzles and optical illusions. Life sciences are also discussed where visitors are encouraged to investigate the mysteries on how living creatures interact with each other.

One of the biggest attractions is the Space Lounge, a visually-stunning and out-of-this-world experience that includes space shows, a gallery of our universe and how it works. Interactive exhibits that present galactic motions and planetary weather systems add excitement as it invites visitors to play with the dynamic forces that affect our universe, our solar system and our planet, Earth.

Children six years old and below have their own stimulating space in the museum which is reserved only for them. It provides kids with hands-on experience with the wonders of science in their own little ways, they can experiment light and colors and manipulate objects in a wind column. ExploraZone is an interactive experience which helps visitors better understand the concept on how science and mathematics work with the help of 30 hands-on exhibits. Bounce takes us to an energetic look on the physics and mathematics of things that are round and how they are used in scientific experiments and principles.

Lab programs and hands-on classes are also offered which enhances the students? discovery and inquiry skills. StarLab, an outreach program, is an inflatable, portable dome. It serves as a mobile planetarium traveling to different parts of the state. Its main purpose is to allow students to experience the excitement and thrill inside a planetarium without leaving school.
