Texas is a state known for the Rangers, cowboys and ranches, rodeos and of course, dancing, which is why the Gruene Hall is one of its most popular historic attractions. The Gruene Hall is located in Gruene, which is pronounced simply as ‘green’ and was designated by the state government as a historic town. The Gruene Hall was completed in the 1880’s and at that time was the premier venue for the most star-studded social gatherings in the area. Throughout its history, the Gruene Hall was considered as well as one of the top venues for concerts for country music artists and other performers, which include the likes of Lyle Lovett and George Strait. Visitors can actually view the complete list of performers it had welcomed since its existence posted inside the hall. Advance purchase of tickets are not always offered for all the hall’s scheduled shows and seating may vary from reserved concert seating layouts to standing room only for dancing events. Parents bringing their kids with them usually have to pay only half the price of admission.
