The Border Patrol of Texas has been chasing bandits since 1924. Devotedly, the members of the patrol prevented people from entering the country without the necessary documents to visit or live in USA. And because of this, the National Border Patrol Museum was founded by the retirees without any government support.

The museum displays informative messages, soles of sandals, wooden cattle hooves and backpacks with blankets. These are the things confiscated by the Border Patrol from dangerous criminals or people who wanted to cross the borders and get into the United States. Other displays include improvised spears, a giant knife and a shotgun. And as previously used for operation by the National Border Patrol, the museum also displays a plane and a helicopter, an ATV, a snowmobile, a jeep and a robot to signify that technology is being used to patrol.

At present, the gift shop of the museum sells items which reflect the danger of what a Border Patrol member experience as they perform their duty to their country.
