The San Jacinto Museum of History lies in the base of the San Jacinto Monument. It provides magnificent view as well as an avenue for the discovery of the culture of Texas culture. Visitors to the Museum will get to see different aritfacts such as Mayan idols, Mexican manuscripts, and Sam Houston's private dictionary.

The museum gives honor to the people who fought in the area in 1836 and it serves as a place where people can relive the history of Texas and the Spanish Southwest. It is a medium for promoting history, as well as the friendship between Texas, Spain, Mexico, France and Latin America.

Visitors who step inside will also get to see special objects that were found from Mexican Texas, the Texas revolution, and the Republic of Texas. The Museum also houses art and artifacts related to the Spanish conquest, French Texas, Spanish colonial life, the Mexican Revolution and the Anglo colonization of Mexican Texas. There are also books, bayonets, swords, sketches, and many other things that can be of interest to everyone.
