In October 1993, Jim Cavanaugh officially launched the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, which featured his ever-expanding historic aircraft collection.

Of the many aviation museums in Texas, the Cavanaugh Flight Museum is made distinct by not just the quality of the aircraft displayed but also by the fact that majority of the museum’s collection is actually still airworthy. In fact, visitors will often find an aircraft operating on the museum’s ramp – no matter which day they’ll be visiting.

Besides the museum’s various exhibits, visitors may also treat themselves to having a pleasant meal in the place’s air-conditioned canteen, view other works of art in the aviation art gallery, or enjoy the surrounding landscape at the museum’s picnic area. Souvenirs may be purchased at the museum’s vast gift shop.
