The Women?s Museum: An Institute for the Future opened its doors to the public in September, 2000. Affiliated with the world renowned Smithsonian Institute, the museum prides itself in the diversity, high interactive levels, and state-of-the-art technology found in its many programs and exhibits.

At the Women?s Museum, visitors are given an intimate glimpse of the private and public victories that the world?s greatest women had accomplished in the social, political, and spiritual arena.

Permanent exhibits at the museum include Women in History, Breaking Boundaries, Thoughts & Expression, Business & Technology, Women?s Health, and It?s Amazing, an exhibit housed in a glass labyrinth filled with visual aids about the racial and gender norms and stereotypes.

The Women?s Museum is also currently managing several travelling exhibits, namely Lauren Greenfield?s Thin, Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections, and Annie Leibovitz: Women.
