The American West Heritage Center measures up to 160 acres that serves as a museum of living history. It symbolizes the everyday life in the place between the years 1820 and 1920. It has various displays of the typical American life and the value that go with it. It includes also folk life and music of those people in the past.

The center is situated right at the foot of the Wellsville Mountains along the US Highway 89/91.
