Opening in October of 1993, the Brigham Young University Museum of Art became home to the university?s large collection of art. Prior to its opening, some 17,000 pieces of art collection has no permanent home, resulting to severe damage to some of the precious collection.

The BYU Museum of Art is located within the university in Provo, Utah. According to a 2004 museum survey, the BYU Museum rank as one of the top museums in the United States in terms of attendance. The museum has been in discussion and planning for over 50 years, thus it became an important part to the whole BYU campus. Today the museum holds numerous exhibitions for many forms of art work from all over the world.
