The Dead Horse Point State Park is probably one of the most peculiarly named state parks in the United States. But its strange name belies a breathtaking beauty that makes it one of the most famous state parks in the nation, and also one of the most photographed geographical formation in the world.

Located 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, the top view in Dead Horse Point is sure to bring awe and amazement to anyone. Reddish canyons and buttes formed by millions of years of geologic activities transformed the land into the panoramic vista that it is now.

The park is popular for extreme mountain bikers who dare scale the perilous heights of the park. The park is also popular for hikers and rock climbers. Other activities that visitors can do are camping and nature photography.
