Built in 1876 in Echo, Utah, the Echo Canyon Church was built for Protestants, as Utah was primarily Mormon, although the area wasn?t exactly the same. It served two purposes: as a church on weekends, and as a schoolhouse on weekdays.

The Echo Canyon Church was made of handmade brick that was fired on the site. It is quite small with its 25 feet by 50 feet measurement, but was able to receive up to 50 children at its peak. It was bought by the Echo School District in 1880 and consequently, by the LDS in 1913.

The Echo Canyon Church was remodeled in the 1940s and people from different denominations helped in the process. Its latest recorded owner is the nonprofit organization called ECHO.
