The Escalante Petrified Forest State Park can be discovered in the southern part of Utah, about 44 miles of the Bryce Canyon park. You can take your time hiking along its trails through a petrified forest and even get to camp on the shores of the Wide Hollow Reservoir. Visitors can also rent a canoe and let you paddle through the clear waters of the place.

There are also lots of anglers who fish in the area hoping to catch a rainbow trout. It also has a visitor center where you can get to view lots of marine fossils, a wide variety of plants and even dinosaur bones that have been fossilized. Those bones can be traced back to more than a hundred million of years old.
