The Frontier Homestead State Park Museum was formerly known as Iron Mission State Park. The Museum focuses on telling the story of the development in Iron County when Brigham Young sent Mormon missionaries in the 1850?s to mine iron.

The Museum?s displays include a horse-drawn vehicle that was used from 1850 to 1920. It is also the site for a collection consisting of Indian and pioneer artifacts.

Sitting on 11 acres of property, the Museum contains picnic areas for visitors to enjoy as well. It is open throughout the year with an admission fee of $3. Aside from its displays, visitors can also enjoy the watchable wildlife, biking trails, hiking trails, and winter activities that are close to the location.
