The Hines Mansion was built in 1895 by Russell Spencer, an industrialist who accumulated wealth from his interests in real estate, mining, and other businesses. The Victorian design of the mansion is allegedly due to the work of Richard Karl August Kletting, the same architect behind the impressive design of the Utah State Capitol building. The mansion?s restoration during the 1970?s had made owner Douglas K. Hardy one of the privileged recipients of a Merit Award from the Utah Heritage Foundation.

There are nine uniquely themed rooms that guests may choose from ? Penthouse, Library, Winter Dreams, Kitty Hines, Victorian Rose, The Lodge, The Parlor, Secret Garden, and Seaside Retreat ? and with each room having its own special feature. The Library, for instance, has its own secret staircase. All rooms are equipped with its own private bathroom and 2-person jetted tub.
