The Historic Manti House Inn originally began as a humble but pretty log home completed in 1868 for Andrew Cheney Van Buren and his family. In time, the Van Burens? household was turned into a 23-room house known as the Manti Temple Boarding House and which also had its own temple in the grounds. Completed in 1888, the temple provided additional accommodations as well as food and carriage service.

The Historic Manti House Inn currently offers seven lovely second-floor suites for guests to choose from. Also available at is the on-site Carriage Restaurant, which is open year round from Mondays till Saturdays at 1700H to 2100H. It is one of the best known restaurants in Sanpete and one of the most welcoming as well, with no required dress code in spite of serving delicious fine dining cuisine.
