The overwhelming beauty and size of the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park makes the visit a wonderful experience to all tourists. The previous lowland basin has become a plateau as the forces of nature performed its natural course.

The Valley is probably the most photographed placed on earth because of the sandstone masterpieces at heights which frame the clouds graciously forming a scene which the valley takes pride of with an elevation of 5,564 above sea level and with a land area of 91,696 acres.

A guided tour can take the tourists down tha valley riding a jeep as the guide tells the myth of how this fascinating park came into existence.

From the visitor center, the Mitten Buttes and Merrick Butte can be seen. But during the summer, Haskenneini Restaurant is featured to exhibit its specialty in the Native Navajo and American cuisines. And although the restaurant has a souvenir shop, there are Navajo vendors selling along the road various arts and crafts, native foods and souvenirs.
