The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art is northern Utah?s premier center for the visual arts exhibitions. The Museum boasts of permanent collections emphasizing on the scope of artistic expression as well as art history in the western United States. The collection features 20th and 21st Century American art pieces such as paintings, sculpture, graphic arts, photographs, ceramics, and American Indian arts. Since the collection continually grows, the Museum offers rotating exhibitions in order to provide visitors new experiences. Permanent, temporary, and traveling exhibitions of local and international standards can also be seen. The Museum strengthens the development of the visual arts and learning experiences of visitors through artist talks, film showings, docent tours, and educational activities.
The Museum houses the Marie Eccles Caine Gallery, the Nora Eccles Harrison Ceramics Gallery, and the Boyden Collection of Native American materials in the Chase Fine Arts Center. The collection boasts of over 4,300 objects that cover a century of gathering, making it one of the region?s largest. It features art works from modern and contemporary artists in all media.
