Temple Square is the most famous tourist spot in Utah. Ever since the Mormon immigrants came here with their leader Brigham Young in 1847, many generations of this religious community continued to develop Salt Lake City to be the international center of the Mormon Church. Also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mormons have made the Temple Square to be an accessible all-in-one attraction that contains 20 destinations in a 35-acre lot. Each of these destinations features the rich history, culture and genealogy of the people who established the Mormon Church in Utah. In this vast complex, you will see the Salt Lake Temple, the Family History Library, the Tabernacle, the Beehive House that served as Brigham Young?s office, a conference center, and a theater among others. Visitors may also take a garden tour to see the world-class gardens surrounding the square.
