The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is located at the campus of the University of Utah, with its collection of artworks specifically housed in the Marcia & John Price Museum Building. The museum has 20 galleries to display its collection of over 18,000 artworks that range from antiques to modern art as well as changing exhibits that introduce new findings as well as cherished classics of Greek & Egyptian antiques, Early American art, Italian Renaissance, 20th century photography and lithographic prints as well as a wide range of artifacts belonging to pre-Columbian times and African and Asian cultures.

It takes approximately two to four hours to fully explore all the exhibitions of the museum as well as its beautiful sculpture garden. Your visit may also be extended when you enjoy a delightful meal at the Museum Caf?, which provides both outdoor and indoor seating. You can also do some souvenir shopping at the Museum Store, which features books and art-inspired souvenirs for kids and adults as well as handmade items by local and international artists. Also available at the 74,000 sq. ft. facility are a community education center and bookstore.

In February of 2005, the state legislature officially declared the museum as a state institution.
