The American Museum of Fly Fishing is located at the quaint town of Manchester in Vermont. The museum aims to collect, preserve and showcase all things related to one of America?s favorite pastime ? fly fishing. The museum contains a vast collection of artifacts related to history and culture of fly fishing. These include equipments like rods, flies, floats, tackles, reels, and documents such as books, photographs, and manuscripts. The museum is believed to possess the biggest collection of fly angling materials, with around 1,200 rods and 20,000 flies in exhibit, including the oldest fly in the world. The museum is a partner of the Sports Museum of America, which opened in 2008.
