Also known as Burlington Town Center, Church Street Marketplace is actually an enclosed shopping mall, despite its name. It is comprised of 130 stores and 289,156 square feet of space, 167,018 of which are considered ?finished space?.

The shopping center got its name from its past, as it was initially just a week-long fair that the city allowed to better gauge the demands for a full blown mall. After showing signs of success, the Church Street Marketplace was permanently turned into a retail haven upon its completion in 1981.

Today, the Church Street Marketplace continues to be a very successful commercial site. The stalls are always occupied and visitors continue to flock on the area. Since it is near the airport, Burlington waterfront, and lodging establishments, it really offers a lot to tourists.
