The DAR John Strong Museum was created during the middle part of the seventies by General John Strong alongside his wife. They built this museum as a replacement for the cabin of their family that was destroyed by the Indians and the other forces of Tory under the leadership of General John Burgoyne. This was once a home to the entire Strong family during the occurrence of the Civil War.
The museum now looks like a restored brick house that is also included in the list of the National Register of Historic Places. The museum-like home has ancient furnishings and a lot of other exhibits that feature the historical past of the life in wilderness. You can find amazing furniture display in the Strong Museum.
