The North Branch Nature Center is a 28-acre reserve in the northern part of Winooski River. It features different programs and educational tours for children and adult who visit the North Branch.

Its Nature Program for All Ages can accommodate pres-school children wherein environment-related activities are performed. Adults have a choice of an overnight retreat in the North Branch to experience the nature. There are also Summer Nature Camps for children and youth. It includes environmental workshops and adventure in the North Branch of Winooski River. Children can interact with different species of animals in the wildlife area while learning different species of plants thriving along the riverbank. The center also offers trails, known as the North Branch Trail. The hiking and trekking activities can be extended up to Hubbard Park.

During winter season, there are series of lectures under Naturalists Journey program. These lectures are all inside the premises of the center or a venue officially contracted by the center to hold the event. For teens who are bird lovers and bird enthusiasts, the Teen Naturalist and Birding Program are great ways to learn different species of birds. The daring Amphibian Monitoring program of the North Branch Center is known for its capturing of salamanders crossing the forests.

There is also a ?Citizen Science? where volunteers or interested individuals can participate in data collection of the center in the Northern Branch of Winooski River. Each season has different programs. For example, during Spring season, the peregrine Monitoring is highly visible to the internet.
