The Vermont Marble Museum was established by the Vermont Marble Company. It was in commemoration of the contributions that the company has made to the state, as well as the importance of marble as a resource in the area.

The Vermont Marble Museum features exhibits regard the company?s history, which dates back to 1880 when it was founded, and to the history of marble. It focuses on the geology of the stone as well as others in the area. They also talk about its participation in art and architecture.

Open from May through October yearly, the Vermont Marble Museum offers self-guided tours through the exhibits. There?s also a gift shop on site for souvenirs. The nearby Sutherland Falls Quarry is now also open for visitors and picnicking.
