The Appomattox Court House National Historical Park used to just be the Appomattox Court House and was eventually turned into a historical landmark. It now displays the various events that transpired at the similar location way back in 1856. It was when General Lee made his surrender to General Grant just to put an end to the US Civil War.

The entire historical park consists of a lot of historical structures along with a visitor center. This served as the place where peace and reconciliation started in the middle of a troubling war. It also paved the way for the rising of a more potent government that had more room to grow and expanded up to this day. Everything was settled in this historical place.
