Perched on the top of the Big Walker Mountain is the Big walker Lookout. It is a 100-foot observation tower that is built in 1947 by the Kime family. It has a total elevation of 3,405 feet, putting visitors on top of a really high plane, overlooking the valley below, and even up to five states on clear days.

The Big Walker Lookout is also a marker for the historical event that led to an unsuccessful Civil War raid and is a popular stop for hikers who are taking the trails on the Big Walker Mountain Loop.

There?s also a small gift shop on site. It is also a short trip away from Virginia City, which is an old west style town that people can also visit.
