The Historic Mankin Mansion was built around 1903 and originally owned by one of the first Southern brick foundry millionaires Edward Thurston Mankin. Listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks, the five-acre property is almost completely restored, thanks to the efforts of its present owners Martin and Paula Ramirez.

Accommodations that guests may enjoy at the Historic Mankin Mansion include the Jefferson and Washington Suites, the Gardener?s and Farmer?s Cottages, the Summer House (undergoing restoration as of press time), the Grand Rockefeller Room, and the Carriage House. Indoor amenities include a video game room, a poker room, and a game room equipped with shuffleboard, billiards, darts, and other indoor sports and recreational activities.

Outdoor pleasures may be enjoyed at the mansion?s grounds and which include a giant lawn chess set, formal English gardens, and a raised Bocce court.
