The Trapezium House is popular for its unusual architecture. Instead of standing upright and having straight walls, it is in a trapezium shape, thus the name. This was actually done on purpose, as the original owner, Charles O? Hara, has been told by his Native American house-help that right angles tend to house evil spirits.
Adhering to such a belief, O?Hara built a house in the early 1800s with no right angles in it. This means that the walls, stairs, and almost everything inside do not have parallel sides and are at a different angle.
Tours were once held at the Trapezium House started at the Siege Museum, but rumors of the house being closed to the public are now also circulating.
