Similar to many of the country?s top safari parks, visiting the Virginia Safari Park is literally akin to paying one ticket for admission to two types of zoos: the Safari Drive-Thru and the Virginia Walk-Thru.

At the Safari Drive-Thru, visitors would surely prefer driving at a snail?s pace along the three-mile road as they get up close and personal with ostriches, llamas, bison, camels, deer, antelope and many other species.

At the Virginia Walk-Thru, visitors would be spoiled for choice with the wide range of animal encounters available. There?s the giraffe feeding station, which is equipped with a ramp to bring visitors at eye level with the zoo?s herd of giraffes. There?s also the Lorikeet Landing station, where feeding encounters are available seasonally. Other popular exhibits include the Tiger Territory, Kangaroo Walk-About, the Reptile House, and the Petting Zoo.

While enjoying the numerous animal exhibits, encounters, and activities in the zoo, visitors will also be treated to spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoa Valley.
