The Spokane Fox Theater is the largest theater during its time with about 2300 seat accommodations. It was built in 1931 by Fox Westcoast, with Robert C. Reamer as its architect. The said architect is the same person who designed the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone Park. In September 3, 1931, the theater opened to the public for the first time. The theater closed in September 21, 2000 but was reopened through the efforts of the Spokane Symphony who purchased the building and raised funds for the restoration of the theater.

With a total cost of $31 million, the Spokane Fox Theater was restored, complete with new paint, lighting fixtures, and many more. Along with the restoration came a new name, Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, in honor of one of the donor?s father who gave at least $3 million for the renovation. In November 19, 2007, the theater was officially reopened.
