Salt Creek Recreation Area County Park is a 196-acre county park with many amenities that young or old can enjoy. It is one of Clallam County?s premier parks and has visitors from the surrounding areas. The park has upland forests, rock-strewn bluffs, stony tide pools, a sand beach, campsites, and excellent view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Crescent Bay, and Vancouver Island in British Columbia.*

Some schools from the surrounding area and even form around the United States visit the area to study the marine life available in the park. There are amenities like a basketball court, horseshoe courts, a softball field and a volleyball court that provide recreation and also a way to use up the extra energy. Visitors also enjoy kite flying, sun bathing, watching shipping lanes, tide pooling at the Tongue Point Marine Sanctuary and walking around the remnants of Camp Hayden which is in existence since World War II.*Visitors also enjoy making smores by the campfire at night as they spread a blanked on the sandy beach.
