The Science Fiction Museum & Hall of Fame was established in 2004, four years later when its ?sister? organization, the Experience Music Project, was created. Whereas EMP is focused on preserving the history of all music genres, from blues to punk, the Science Fiction Museum ? which happens to be the first such museum to be built ? is devoted to capturing the best of science fiction literature and deepening people?s awareness, understanding, and appreciation of everything that has to do with this special brand of fiction. Consequently, its Hall of Fame pays homage to the best artists, writers, film makers and even publishers of science fiction.
