Completed in 1901, the Stimson-Green Mansion was originally owned by one of the city?s most prominent industrialists C.D. Stimson. The mansion boasts of impressive Tudor architecture designed by Spokane?s Cutter and Malmgren. In 1975, Historic Seattle came to purchase the site and worked on its restoration. The organization was faithful to the house?s original design and made sure that its easement protected the house?s exterior and interior from any construction or remodelling that could reduce its authenticity.

Besides being listed as an official landmark of the city in 1977, the Stimson-Green Mansion was also placed in the National Register of Historic Places. Those interested in public or private tours may contact the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, which owns the property since 2001 when it received the Stimson-Green Mansion as a bequest from Mrs. Priscilla B. Collins.
