The Woodland Park Zoo frequently makes it to the lists of the country?s best zoos because of the impressively realistic settings for its exhibits as well as its high standards when it comes to animal care.

The zoo, which has been serving the public for over a century now, also offers a playground called the Zoomazium, in which children may climb a giant tree and mountain among other things. At the Willawong Station, visitors may enjoy feeding different avian species while at the Humboldt Penguin Exhibit, visitors would learn more about the little-known penguin species native to Peru. At the Raptor Center, visitors are treated with an amazing flight demonstration of predatory birds such as vultures, owls, and peregrine falcons.

Other popular exhibits of the Woodland Park Zoo include the Jaguar Cove, the ?Bug? World, the Trail of Vines and the Tropical Rain Forest, the Northern Trail, and the African Savanna exhibit. Make sure you don?t miss taking a ride at the zoo?s historical carousel as well.
