Home to Alexander Campbell in the 1800s, the Alexander Campbell Mansion is a great example of Southern hospitality. Its main occupants may only be Campbell and his family, but it received tons of visitors on a daily basis that it always has 32 chairs ready in the dining room while still occupied.

The Alexander Campbell Mansion, still operated by the institution that Campbell founded, Bethany College, is still open for guests, even after more than a century of its original owner?s demise. In the complex stand the ?Strangers Hall?, the main house, and the ?Millennium Harbinger? which was Campbell?s hexagonal study. All of which are open to the public today.

The Alexander Campbell Mansion, along with the nearby buildings, was declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1994.
