Babcock State Park is considered as one of the most stunning West Virginia state parks, thanks to having the New River Gorge, a National River, in the horizon, and offering various marine attractions from fishing to whitewater rafting.

The state park covers more than 4,100 acres of land and offers a diverse range of landscape, from mountainous vistas to canyons to shimmering trout streams.

Among other points of interest in the park includes the Glade Creek Grist Mill, which was built in 1976. It?s a faithful recreation of the original mill, Cooper?s Mill, located in the area before it was turned into a state park.

If you enjoy your trip to Babcock State Park WV, other West Virginia state parks you might like to visit would be the Pipestem State Park and Bluestone State Park.
