Built in the mid 1800s to service the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company in Martinsburg, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Martinsburg shops is a historic district in the state of West Virginia mostly noted for its participation in the distinguished events in the area. It is a National Historic Landmark since 2003 and now operates as a museum offering tours to the public.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Martinsburg Shops have gone through a lot. Although, the current structures were only built after the Civil War attacks on the area, it is still written as a part of its history. However, the most notable of all is its participation I the Great Railroad Strike of 1877, as the workers in Martinsburg initiated a protest action against pay cuts.
