The Huntington Museum of Art houses a wide range of collections which have been historically preserved. The museum has varied selections of silver, prints, pray rugs, sculptures and glass. However, only roughly 10% of the collection can be viewed at a certain time. Visitors enjoy the visits to the galleries because of the wide range of subjects the collections have.

The museum has four permanent viewing galleries and five temporary ones. The permanent collections include British Portraits and Silver; The Herman Dean Firearms Gallery which features historical firearms such as rifles, pistols and several other guns; The Touma Near Eastern Gallery which has artifacts like metalwork, glass, ceramics, armor, carpets and textiles, religious manuscripts and the like; the last one is the Glass Gallery which exhibits a collection of glassworks like vases and lamps. The Wilbur Myers Glass Collection is featured at the Glass Gallery. Oriental paintings are admired in the The Touma Near Eastern Gallery. Some of the objects rotate from one gallery to another depending on the theme of season. The five temporary galleries change collections often.
