Located in Wheeling, West Virginia, The Good Zoo is a large facility that is about 30 acres. It is home of over 80 species of animals. The Good Zoo was named after a seven year old boy, Phillip Mayer Good, who adores animals and nature. The zoo has a huge variety of animals including an ocelot, ostriches, spectacled bears, red-tailed hawks, kangaroos, wallabys, red tail hawks, llamas, bald eagles, cranes, red pandas, and many other interesting animals.

The huge area for the ostrich exhibit includes a train so visitors can enjoy the zoo without hassles. The train also goes all throughout the zoo facility. There are additional exhibits within the facility that visitors will truly enjoy just like a discovery lab, and an indoor South American rainforest. Moreover, for bird lovers they will be delighted to know that zoo also features an aviary, which houses a variety of birds from all over the world.

Because of its advance facility, the Good Zoo is the only Zoo in West Virginia that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
