It?s ye ol? country farm celebration when you join the annual State Fair of West Virginia! This state fair is celebrated annually every August 13 to 21 at the State Fairgrounds in the town of Fairlea, West Virginia. This yearly festivities began on February 1, 1881. In 1941, the state government designated the Lewisburg fair to be the official venue.

The fair?s attractions include carnivals and exhibitions, horse races, and other physical events all held inside the vast State Fairgrounds. Farm and livestock products are put on shows. There are also cultural exhibits, pageants, arts displays, dances, and music shows. Country crooners also visit to give their yearly treat of country music concerts. The fair lasts up to 9 days. Weary fairgoers do not have to worry about accommodations as camping around the fairgrounds is allowed for a small fee.
