Located in Oceana, West Virginia the Wyoming County Historical Museum is made to preserve and showcase the wonderful history of the Wyoming County. The museum understands the importance of keeping the past for the newer generations thus it stands on its vision to collect, preserve, and interprets the historic and even prehistoric history of the Wyoming County. It is a 501 (c ) non profit organization and operates on the generous donations of patrons and is managed by a number of volunteers.
The museum is made through the resources and donations of many citizens of the county who understand all too well the importance of keeping their history alive. The museum developed a number of exhibits that cultivates the past and up to the present time of the Wyoming County.

Not only that the museum also encourages local to preserve historical properties that may serve a value for future generations. Wyoming County Museum is open Saturdays from noon time until 4pm, but welcomes an anytime appointment through phone. Admission is free but the museum welcomes any donation that will help in its cause.
