Above & Beyond Children's Museum is a special place for children and their families where play and education connect through exploration and discovery. The museum offers hands-on fun for kids with its various exhibits such as the Sky Crawl, a Whompaphone, a Tree House Adventure, Cyberspace, a Rainforest Toddler Room, Giant Blackboard, Play School House, Kids Klinic, and Shadowbox. The non-profit museum, with over 10,000 square feet of fun on three floors, is located in downtown Sheboygan and has enjoyed over 17 years of community service enhancing the lives and experiences of children and their families.

Opened to public in 1998, the museum is a member of the Association of Children?s Museum and aims to provide a positive learning environment through community interactive programs and exhibits. Starting as a traveling road show featuring interactive children's exhibits open only once a month, it quickly became an established community treasure offering service six days a week. Today, the Above & Beyond Children?s Museum is partnered with the Sheboygan Area School District to create a Reusable Resource Center, which holds donated furniture and other resources for teachers and parents to use for hands-on lessons.

Some of the featured exhibits found in the museum are the Giant Pin Screen, a five-foot tall Pin Screen containing more than 72,365 movable pins; Magnet Table, a giant horseshoe magnet which allows children to explore the mysteries of magnetic forces or build a magnet sculpture using common steel objects; Sounds Like Fun lets little musicians create their own tunes in the music room; Efroymson Grocery offers grocery shopping experience for the kids with a vintage feel; Radiometer, where children can observe how the level of energy varies; and the Kids Craft Area, where children can follow examples or create their own masterpiece using everyday household craft items.

Above & Beyond Children's Museum is now open six days a week so no matter when you are visiting the area, you should be able to take the time to explore the museum. The general admission is $5 and it is free for members and children 2 and under.
