The Hearthstone Historic Museum was created in 1882. It was the very first house that was lightened up by the Edison System through the central hydroelectric station. The furnishings during that period with the total of nine fireplaces and its stained glass windows serve as the decoration of its interiors. You can find a wide range of electrical exhibits that would surely amaze any visitor who would come to pass by.

It was designed by the popular architect from the Midwest William Waters. He set it in the late style of the Victorian age. It also serves as home to the hands on hydro adventure center which holds the interest of many kids being an educational and entertaining attraction all at the same time.
