The state of Wyoming offers a wonderful outdoor experience for nature lovers and adventurers ? the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area.

Visitors to the park can behold the majestic thousand-foot cliffs towering above the Bighorn Lake. This reservoir lake was created from the harnessed water of the Bighorn River via the Yellowtail Dam. Aside from the scenic views that this recreation park offers, several outdoor activities await the visitors. Mountaineers can take the kilometers-long hike to the top of the canyon. The Bighorn Lake is a perfect spot to ride a boat or kayak. Trout and other fish abound in these pristine waters. Campers can enjoy living at the wild outdoors in the several campgrounds such as Afterbay or Horseshoe Bend Campgrounds set up along the canyon grounds. Visitors can also view several archeological and historical finds at the visitor center.
