The Historic Sheridan Inn was opened in May 1893 at Sheridan. Its interior was leased by Buffalo Bill Cody after its construction. Mr. Cody also hired some Wild West Show performers to showcase their talents in the front porch. It was designated in 1964 by the National Park Service. It is now among the 7 National Historic Landmarks in Wyoming.

The inn also houses the 1893 Grille and Spirits restaurant on the 1st floor. It also hosts the original Buffalo Bill bar, which greets the patrons of the Inn?s saloon. The Wyoming Room and Ladies Parlor on its formal dining room accommodates special events like private dinners, Rotary meetings, wedding receptions, and art shows.

Currently, the Sheridan Historic Inn is undergoing major renovations that will transform it into a 22-room boutique hotel.
