Featuring 40 of the Jake Korell Wildlife collection, the Wind River Heritage Center is best known for its wildlife displays that mostly appear life like. The exhibit includes a number of big game species that are commonly found in Wyoming, like bison, grey wolves, and bears.

Aside from the wildlife display, representations of historic traps are also exhibited in the site. Some items date back to 1804 when the fur trade was still big on the State.

The Wind River Heritage Center gift shop is also worth visiting. They feature a selection of furs, leather, Native American jewelry and other western themed items that will prove to be great souvenirs.
